In the 1950s, the San Francisco Bay Area was an epicenter for new thinking and artistic exploration. At the center was Park, whose bold colors and everyday subjects helped usher in a new modernism. In search of a form beyond the then-popular Abstract Expressionism. Park started the Bay Area Figurative Movement. Woman Reading (1957). Premiere performance by Harwich Sing of
The Light Vessel
a choral work composed by Trevor Watts for LAST STATION with words by Kay Syrad
introduced by Mr. Jerry Wedge Director of Finance and Support Services Trinity House. The performance
is part of Harwich Sing and Colchester Brass Band’s Christmas concert. Entrance fee £5 for this event.
